VERBUM- Casa das Palabras is an interactive museum related to all human communication aspects designed as a cultural and recreational space where visitors can participate, actively, of all exhibit elements.
VERBUM is an entertainment space which allows experimenting and knowing through games all related to communication: languages, words, letters, sounds, signs, symbols, sight, hearing, reading, writing, literature, technology.
VERBUM is a Latin term which means “word”, because word is the origin of the project content and because Latin is the origin of the languages spoken in Galicia. Taking the word as reference of minimum meaning unit, VERBUM contents are divided into four general subjects: languages, sciences, literature and technology.
VERBUM's permanent offer wides with the programme of different exhibitions and complementary activities.

1 euro •Children from 7 to 14 years old. • Young people’s card holders. • Retired, pensioners, unemployed and disabled people. • Large families (with accreditation). • School groups. • Visitor groups with special agreements with the Council of Vigo. • Other groups (minimum 20 people). • Turistic cards or special promotions from the Council of Vigo.
Free entry • Children aged under 7. • 1st Primary schoolboys and schoolgirls. • Primary, Secondary, General Certificate of Secondary Education and Formative Courses teachers or equivalents. • Tourist guides and instructors for disabled people, instructors of children’s or young’s people activities. • Groups with special agreements with the Social Affaires Department. • 24 April (Verbum day) and 18 May (International Museums Day). • Statements published in the municipal regulation of public prices nº 43 referred to Verbum - Casa das Palabras.
